Janina is VERY dated here. I've never met one under 60. Nina sounds unnatractive and a bit ditzy to me.

I think they're cute.

Nina is cute but the meaning is a little, boring. At least the girl one, the fire one is pretty cool. Janina I don't like as much no idea why.

I like Nina (as a full name)

I like Nina, Janina feels a bit inconsistent.

Janine is one of the names I prefer with the E ending over the A. I think it has a particular energy to it I like over Janina. For the nickname Nina, I am into Gianina and Antonina lately. You should also search Think Baby Names for names with Nina in it. I try to use the search tool here but always have issues for some reason I'm not sure why.

I like Nina but it was really popular here so I wouldn't use it. It reminds me of Russia, snow, ballet dancers.Janina is okay, I don't like it nearly as much and it feels 80s to me (it was popular here for a short time in the 80s and early 90s).Janina nn Nina makes no sense to me as Nina is a perfectly good full name. I'd stick with Nina.
