I like both but especially Maximilian. I had planned on naming my first son this, but ended up using it as a middle name for my youngest instead.

I really like Max. Maximilian is nice, but it feels too long. Maxwell on the other hand feels more like a surname. If I had to choose one for a child, I'd pick Maximilian. Its length gives it some strength. I'd probably nickname my child Max though.

I prefer Max as a stand-alone. Maximilian is inconveniently long, and Maxwell is too Silver Hammer.

Ohh, I love Maxwell. It's such a fun soap opera playboy villain name. It's so dastardly. Plus it's got that corporate connection to coffee. Fantastic. Whenever I meet anyone named Max, I often call them Maxwell (and Maximus) as a nickname, I love it so much. Usually they are cats or dogs, so they don't mind. Maximilian is fun too, it's also very extra with a bit more historical weight, if respectability is important!

I love Maximilian. Honestly I really like most Max- names besides Maxwell. I just can’t dig it. Maxima, Maximo, Maxine, are all great though.

They're nice. Not sure if I would use them, but if someone else wanted to use them I would totally recommend it.

Two really strong names, in my opinion.Also. They're two of my all-time faves, so needless to say anything about them, other than I adore them, of course.

I like Maxwell and Maximilian a lot, but I prefer the meaning of Maximilian. I’d honestly prefer just Max though for a fn.
