[Opinions] Leon
what do you think of the classic name Leon? it seems it's receiving a resurgence in popularity here, but it has a very early-20th-century ring to it.

It's alright, but I prefer Leo. It seems both uptight and kind of sleepy?
Like it could be the name of an art critic or a librarian. Definitely has a mature vibe.

I imagine a white haired man in his 50s, wearing a sweater.
I like it a lot, it's actually one of my favorite boy names and my absolute favorite Leo- name.
And since others are mentioning the Leons they're reminded of, I will be a dork and say my first thought is Leon S. Kennedy.

I very recently found out my great-great grandfather was named Leon, so it spiked my interest in the name.
It’s definitely coming back into fashion but it’s a bit “heavy “, reminds me of Leon Trotzky or Leon Blum.
I prefer Leo, but actually I don't dislike this one. It's never sounded as dated to me as it probably does to other people.
It sounds dated to me, too. Though, it's still in use for Afrikaans-speaking people, I think. I don't enjoy it: Leo seems neater and tidier.
pretty sure Leon is greek, and Leo is latin. I like both.
