[Opinions] Re: Stepan / Stefan + variants
I prefer Stefan. I was born in Poland and it was my grandfather's name. The emphasis in Polish is on the first syllable. We also have the form Szczepan which I don't care for.I prefer Stefaniya to Stepanyda because I am used to Stefania as the feminine form.My favorite forms of the names are Étienne and Étiennette.

Stefan can also be STEH-fahn here. I just am used to Stepan with stress on final, so my brain pronounce Stefan with same pattern.
