Remington is definitely unisex, and it does feel redneck because of the hunting rifle association. I've known a few Remingtons and they were all in the south or in rural areas (including a cousin from the Ozarks).
I don't like it personally, I don't like guns and I don't think it's cool, neat, or funny to name kids after something used to kill people and animals.
I love the name Remy though, which is what my cousin goes by.

Daisy has other meanings, Remington is known for guns, the rifle's short name is Remington... there is a difference. I'm just not a fan.
