I think it's trending because of Prince Archie of Sussex. I enjoyed the one Archie comic book that I read, and it doesn't put me off the name. It sounds happy-go-lucky and full of life, but also really kiddy. I wouldn't use it as a legal name. And although Archibald sounds manly and sophisticated, it also sounds dramatically aged.
