They are really catchy and satisfying together. I think because of the way they echo each other without being too matchy-matchy, it's an organic symmetry. EV-er-est, AV-a-lon. And they have a similar "modern mystical whimsy" style. Avalon is pretty. I'm guess I'm old because I think of Marion Zimmer Bradley and the album by Roxy Music before cars.

Not as keen on Everest, though it has a nice sound - I find it so ironic that the guy Everest was named after didn't even want the mountain to be called that - and he pronounced his name "EEV-rist" not "EV-ver-est"! And now the mountain is like, covered in garbage from all the tourists that go there, when it was/is a sacred place.... it's sad. The name Everest has a lot of baggage.
