[Opinions] Penelope
I'm totally loving the name Penelope right now. I think it is just fabulous. What do you think? We have a son already, named Wesley.
I want to use Juliet as the middle name for our first daughter, so wdyt of Penelope Juliet? (I know, it's a lot of name!) Is it too much?
What is your favorite nn for Penelope? I have thought of:
Penny
Poppy
Polly
Nell (Don't like)
Nellie (Too Little House, even though I'm a huge fan of LIW)
Pippin (suggested to me)
Pip
Lola (Don't like)Penny and Poppy are probably my faves. Are Wesley and Penelope too different for a sibset?

I like Penelope. It's quirky and stands out. My sister is Penny (no nn) and I think her name sounds so sweet and forever young. She's actually almost 15 years my senior and I think her name sounds younger than mine. ;-)Wesley and Penelope do have different styles but it's not awful in any way.

I like Penny the best. You could also go with Ellie...

Yes it is a lot of name. Yes it is too much. Penny, however, is lovely. I really don't like the name Penelope. Sorry. Juliet is nice. Polly is nice as well, even as a name on its own.

Penelope has also been growing on me lately. it's very pretty and suitable for any age.Penelope Juliet is georgeous. I agree it's a lot of name but it's not overwhelming. it works well.of your nn s I like Poppy the best, very cute. but if I were to have a daughter named Penelope, I'd call her Pony for a nn. I like the nn so much it makes me like Penelope more. :]nice choice.Luxiana

I love Wesley and Penelope together - although I don't much like Penelope by itself, but Penelope Juliet is an absolutely striking combination. Penny has always been my favorite nn.

Penelope's great. I love it with Wesley. I think Penelope Juliet is a whole lot of name, considering they're both the names of characters from literature who were parted from the men they loved. I prefer Nell as a nickname, but would rather not use one. Penny & Poppy seem a bit petty.

Wesley and Penelope are great together. Juliet is not my style, but fine as a middle name. It's not too much, imo.I've never liked Penny as a nn for Penelope, it reminds me of money. Till now, my favorite nns for Penelope were Nell, Nellie, Pippa, Pepper and Nolly. I've never thought of Poppy as a nn for it before and I think it's great. I'm adding it to that list.

I like Penelope quite a lot, and Penelope Juliet is lovely imo. I don't think it's 'too much name', no. :) I grew up with a Penelope Renee nn Pennie and I didn't care for her name at the time, nor her nn (and neither did she) but I've started liking Penelope more over the years. My favorite nn's for it are Nell, Nellie, and Ellie, though. I like Poppy much more than Penny. I've never considered Poppy as a nn for Penelope, but I think it's fantastic. I love Poppy but it seems a bit childish or nickname-y as a full name so I think it works perfectly as a nn. I also think Wesley and Penelope sound great for siblings. Good luck.
