Since I consider Marley more modern I would definitely pair it with a more traditional middle name. I like Marley James, Richard, etc. but Marley Spencer kind of appeals to me too.
However since I like Marley as an occasional nn for Marlowe & for a girl, I would make sure to pair it with a masculine name above all else (but thats just my humble opinion).
