Guinevere.... is it too much?

I think it's probably too much as a first name. I prefer Guenevere, GWEN-eh-veer, which is much softer. I'd use it as a middle name.

I think it is a little much. It's one of those names that just sounds so fanciful that I have a hard time picturing it on an average person.

I like it a lot. I do think it might be a bit much for a first name, though. It would be a great middle name.

ditto...It's gorgeous, but a gp for me. I don't think I could ever get up the nerve to use it, though MAYBE as a mn.

Oooh...very nice. You may have just changed my mind! :)
I'll have to let it simmer in my brain for a while, but my first thought is that it's just lovely! Hmmm...

Not too much at all, it's a beautiful name : )

No! It's so beautiful! There is a member on another board I frequent who has a daughter named Guinevere, nickname Winnie. It works for her.

It's not too much to me. I see Guinevere as an old Welsh name with a lot of legend, both romantic and tragic, behind it.

Aw, I love it. The nn Guinnie is too cute. It's definitely pushing the envelope in terms of what's usually expected. But with so many people making up names or being kr8tyv, it's nice to see a name like Guinevere that has history and substance to it. Go for it. :-)
