Yeah, same.I don't know why. If I wanted to be practical though, I'd use Eric to avoid misspellings.

Agreed.Erik trumps them all, but if the choice is Aric vs. Eric, then Eric it is.

Same here.Though I'd definitely take Eric over Aric, since Erik's not a choice.This is one of those things where personal associations mean everything; Erik is how one of my brother's best friends spells his name, and he is (or was, since I haven't seen him in ages ;_;) like my brother, himself.
