Emma.I dislike Kate, even if it's just a nn. Cate, Katie, Katy, Kitty, Kath, Kathy, Kathie...? Yes. Kate? No.

Kate... definitely Kate... even if I wasn't tired of Emma.

Even though I adore Emma, I'd have to say Kate. It feels less common, and Emma has never struck me as a complete name, whereas Kate has a longer form.

I don't think one is particularly better than the other. I personally prefer Kate because I think its stronger and Emma just makes me think of a maid or my cousins's dog. However I think both are classic and sweet.

Kate ...... but both are extremely overdone. If you love both, I'd combine the two (Emma Katherine, nn Emma Kate) and call her by both names to stand apart somewhat.

Personally, I like Kate. I like it as a name on its own, or as a nn for Kathleen. (Not a big fan of Kaitlyn or Katherine).

This is hard because I love both names equally but Id go with Kate because it is so less popular than Emma. Only if Kate is the full name then Ill use it!

Kate! I love it both as a nn (for Kathleen or Katherine) and a full name. I think it's sweet and classy and not overused like Emma.

Kate!I love all names related to Katherine, so Kate definitely wins here.

Emma is sweet is sweet but she's everywhere. Just Emma and as a NN for the oh so popular Emily. Kate is alright. She doesn't wow me. As a NN for Katherine, she's ok. But I prefer just Katherine or the NN Kay.

Kate. I also like Kate as a full name. I dislike Emma, I think it's very unattractive.
