Elizabeth or Elisabeth
Which do you prefer? Elizabeth is probably the spelling I'm most comfortable with, but Elisabeth would honor my great aunt Elsie. I'm stuck!

I only like the spelling Elizabeth. There's just something unappealing about Elisabeth to me.

ElizabethI'm partial to that spelling because it was used in my family and everyone I've ever met with the name had that spelling. I have nothing against Elisabeth.

ElisabethIt looks way better than Elizabeth.

Yelizaveta is my favorite, but out of yours, Elizabeth.

ElizabethElisabeth makes me want to pronounce it the German way, which is horrible.

Elisabeth, but Elizabeth is nice too

Elisabeth.I don't like Z's, so maybe that's why I prefer this spelling.

Elisabeth for me. It's the family spelling and as such, goes back three generations. I find Elisabeth softer and prettier but no less a classic. It's my middle name and I've found that after typing Elisabeth for so long, I consciously have to think to reach down for that z in Elizabeth. Feels funny.

ElisabethBecause my favorite nn for it are Lisa and Bess and I don't see them from Elizabeth spelling.

I don't see how Bess would come more from the Elisabeth spelling than the Elizabeth one, since it's based upon the last syllable, which ends in TH in both of them.

Because in Elisabeth all the letters used in Bess are present. In Elizabeth the nn would be Bez with this logic. It's juts my personal view.

Elizabeth...Even though your great aunt spelled it Elisabeth, you can still spell it Elizabeth and honor your great aunt. I prefer Elizabeth anyway, since it's the original spelling.

ElizabethElisabeth looks funny to me. And I'm tempted to pronounced it eh-LEE-sa-beth. You would use the nn Elsie for Elizabeth though, right? So I think Elizabeth is just fine.

ElizabethI love Elizabeth, I hate Elisabeth.

ElisabethI used to love Elizabeth. But now to me Elisabeth is prettier.

ElisabethI used to hate that one and prefer Elizabeth. Now i don't see the use of the Z. Elisabeth is more simple in my eyes so I would go with that one.

I prefer Elisabeth.

Elizabeth...that S always bothers me. It makes me want to pronounce it with an S sound rather than a Z sound, and that doesn't come naturally to me.

I prefer Elisabeth. My middle name is Elizabeth and I like it but the Z makes it feel quite harsh comapred to Elisabeth.

ElisabethBoth are beautiful, but I've always had a soft spot for Elisabeth. :)
