Thanks.

I like both, but I strongly prefer Amalia to Emilia. I would like to use Amalia in the future, but I am not sure I'd get around to it. Amalia reminds me of Spanish royalty because they had a few of them.

I love them both. I'm not sure which one I'd go with. Emilia seems like hopping onto the Emma bandwagon and Amalia may get confused for my much-hated Amelia. Since Amalia seems kind of more pretentious to me, I'd take Emilia, I think.

I like Emilia better. Amalia is the name of a princess here in the Netherlands, so I only associate that name with her, but it's nice. Emilia is just a bit nicer :)

Amalia is beautiful name :-) I love it. In our country pronounced ah-mah-lya.I do really like Emilia. I do pronounce eh-mee-lya.

Amalia is really striking. I think the second a makes the name look prettier than Amelia even though I kind of prefer the prn of Amelia. Emilia is pretty too but kind of forgettable. I prefer Emilie to Emilia as well.
I'd definately choose Amalia because it makes more of a impression.

Both are nice but I love Amalia. On the other hand Amelia, whom everyone seems to adore, does nothing for me.

I do really like Amelia, but my husband doesn't. I don't like the way Amelia sounds in Spanish or Portuguese though, and that is how most of our family will pronounce it.

I don't really care for the "-meal-" sound in Amelia.I prefer Emilia. Emiliana is even prettier. I prefer Amara to Amalia.
