Anneliese or Annika?
Having both in the same sibset would, I think, be too much Ann. Which do you prefer?

Anneliese
Annika sounds harsh and not really pretty. It also looks really wierd.
Anneliese sounds soft and pretty. It looks like a princess name but isn't an overused one. It is relatible but not wierd.

They both lost their freshness decades ago where I live. Where you live, it must be different ... but I'd go for pure Anne, or at least Antonia.

Call me old-fashioned but I like Anneliese. And, yes, I agree that it would be too much "Ann."

AnnelieseAnnika has a very 'hard' sound to it that doesn't appeal to me.

Anneliese-- You can still use Annika as a nickname. Anneliese seems more grown up to me. It can be a good name no matter how young or old you are. I had the same debate myself, though. It's tough.

I think both are nice, but I prefer Annika - pronounced aw-ni-ka not ann-ih-ka though. Someone on here mentioned the other day that you could even call her Anya!

AnnikaI agree, it is too much Ann for a sibset.Anneliese is too common, but I'd use it if it had any significance to whomever I marry. Annika, on the other hand, I love and would definitely use if I had the chance. It goes along with my heritage and I have an Aunt Anne for a namesake. Plus it's just pretty. ^_^nn Anna if I had to, but mostly Annika.I'm actually using this name for a story I'm writing, full name: Annika Gretchen Norling.
