I think it would be weird to use in real life, but not necessarily
bad. I mean, it's a really cool name, and I actually
CAN picture a boy named
Leif. It's just unlikely to actually happen. My sister's roommate is named
Liv ("LEEV"), which is kinda like
Leif. And if it's any consolation, I just did a quick search of students at my university and there are three men named
Leif, so it's indeed used. Here are some combos:
