Re: Top 10 names for June '11
I like Xanthe, Geneva, Sonnet, Elodie, and Adelaide. I'm never sure how to say Alcyone but no matter how I say it, it just isn't pretty coming out of my mouth lol and Eirlys is different. This is the first time I've ever seen it... And - I'm not meaning this as an insult - but a lot of your girl names sound like city names. I feel like I've been to half of them, which was a weird feeling lol
Yeah, August! I am looking forward to having a little boy one day named August / Augustus and calling him Gus haha Or maybe I'll have to settle for a dog, I dunno. But I am determined to have a little Gus one way or another! It's just too adorable.I also like Prosper and Felix. Your boy names list is so Shakespearean! I love it haha

Thanks :)Alcyone = Al-sie-oh-nee. I know it's a bit of a mouthful but I'd shorten it to Alcie and I love the meaning, the story behind it and the fact that it's the name of the brightest star in the Pleiades.Eirlys is a recently new discovery for me too.Yes, Geneva, Adelaide & Florence are all cities, but they are also people names as well! May be worth noting that I wouldn't have 3 daughters named Geneva, Adelaide and Florence, but it doesn't stop me loving all 3. And Geneva is one of my favourite cities, and a place that is special to me, so that actually adds to its appeal.I fricking love Gus. If I had an August (strong chance, it's a long time favourite) he'd be Gus half the time. And yay for someone else actually liking Prosper.
