Re: Dean and Ivy
Dean makes me think of that annoying character on Gilmore Girls who cheated on his wife. Also it's a word and I think of Dean's list and stuff like that when I hear it. It's also kind of weak sounding. Don't like it at all. I wish it would remind me of James Dean but it doesn't. It's fine as a last name but not as a first name.I love Ivy. It used to be my top name as well. I likeIvy Emmeline
Ivy Vivienne (yep, I love all the Vs)
Ivy Laura
Ivy Clementine
Ivy Madeline
Ivy Isabelle

I hadn't thought about college deans or the dean's list. You're right--it does add a kind of wordiness to Dean.Ivy Madeline is sweet, and I love all the "pointy" letters in Ivy Isabelle.
