Re: Random names from a book

I like:
Lidia
Miranda
Rosario
Rufus
Pelagia
Gustave
Emiliana
Antanas
Reuben
Hugo
Roman
Cecile
Tobias
France is kind of interesting, but not all that useable. I have my tried and tested 'ew, country name!' reaction, but it also has a history beyond the country name, so...
Probyn just makes me think of probes. Heh.

France
I think (from the other names around it) that in this case France is a male Slovenian name (variation of Franz) pronounced 'frahn-TZEH' (http://bs.forvo.com/search-sl/france/).
France Prešeren is the most well know Slovenian poet: http://www.preseren.net/ang/default.asp
I could be mistaken, since I haven't seen the book.
