What would "Telly" be short for?

I'm watching the movie The Forgotten, and the main character's name is Telly. I'm wondering what it could be short for, so if it was you, what would you use Telly as a nickname for? The character is female.

It drives me nuts when a character in a movie has a really unusual name and nobody ever explains it.
