Re: Edward

1. Edward is a very handsome name and it would be quite refreshing to hear of the name being used! Ned is a nice nickname and I actually like it better than Ed/Eddie. Ted is also a possible nickname but you'd have to get your husband to really compromise because a Ted and a Theo would be odd. No nickname is nice too!
2. I like Theodore best myself but mostly because most Edwards (or my favorite Edmund) here in the USA would immediately get called Eddie or Ed and I have some bad associations with those nicknames. I've come to like Theodore quite a bit lately and quite like Teddy as a nickname.
3. Theodore Edward Stewart have a very handsome sound to it and goes very nicely with your surname. I did have an idea, if you didn't want the middle names to seem to exactly copy your brother your could always switch it to Theodore Stewart Edward. Either way the names sound lovely together! :)
4. I don't think it would be weird at all to have two Edwards in the family, especially as there is such a gap in generations and it is a very nice way to honor your grandfather. Also your grandfather goes by Ed/Eddie and your son would most likely be Ned (or just Edward) so there's enough of a difference in beginning sounds that it wouldn't be too tricky for family gatherings.
