I like Esme and would have used it as a mn, given enough daughters. It's a family name of a deceased relative, and also the name of a totally wonderful teacher at my high school. It's very dated here in South Africa, but so what?

Can't be positive about the other two. Declan isn't the worst Irish name, but in general I avoid Oirishry. Emmett sounds like an insect or some subterranean life form, certainly not human at all.
