Hersilora and more
I had occasion to go to a local cemetery this week (in downstate Michigan, US) and was pleased to find some unusual names. Some I'd heard before I hadn't. The best of the bunch:
Hersilora
Tryphena
Mima
Percena
Fidelia
Mariamne
Zerah
Dwella
Orpha
Philetus
Otis
Tisdale
Rufus (I don't care for it personally, but I was surprised to see so many that were not obviously related)
Elam
Gershom
Erastus
Eliakim
What do you think?
Hersilora was my favorite by a mile. So odd and unusual.

Germs
Oh no, you're right; those names do sound like germs, or illnesses of some kind. Gross.
I like Fidelia also. It's one of the more normal among them, I think it's quite pretty.
