Most classic names would work fine in both the US and Sweden (and most of the Western world). Thomas

JuliaYou could also take a look at the top 100 in Sweden 2013 to get some idea of the names common/popular here. There are quite a few names that would work just fine in both countries.

One problem with these classic names is that there are "taken" by friends and family.I like Jack, but the letter J is pronounced so different in Swedish than in English and I prefer if the name is pronounced as similar as possible in both languages.
I also like Sophia, but think I'd spell it Sofia.
