Thoughts on this sister sibset
In my son's kindergarten class, there is a little girl named Isra, which I think is a pretty cool name and has a nice meaning. She has an older sister named Mona. What do you think of both names on their own, and as a sibset, Mona & Isra?

I've never heard Isra before and I'd have to get used to it before I could decide whether or not I like it. I can't stand Mona. So close to the word "moan." This site says it's an Anglicized form of the Irish Muadhnait (MOO-nat). I think I prefer Muadhnait. The parents should have skipped over the Anglicization and gone for the really authentic, since they obviously wanted to stand out. The two names go together though, they're both two syllable and unusual.
I agree that Isra is pretty neat. I would be happy using it.
Mona, I have never liked. All i can think of is moaner, moaning... So, yeah. Isra is the lucky one. I dunno how i feel about both girls having names that end in A either. I dont think I reallylike it, not when they are both two syll names as well
