I have known two young girls named Violet, one born in either 2008/2009, the other born in 2012. I like the name, I think it's lovely and feminine. A nice change from Rose or Lily. I like old-fashioned, so that doesn't bother me. I associate the violet flowers with the name!

The kids' middle names are good, I especially like Elinor. I don't like their first names, though, not my cup of tea.
