Yay. You adore it! I didn't always love it. Growing up I was relieved. The heavy "g" sound didn't appeal. My mother didn't use it because she was afraid people in the U.S. (in 1964) would pronounce it more like "granny." But now I can appreciate Grainne's deeper qualities. Heavy "b" and "g" sounds now attract me.
I have only one combo for Grainne: Grainne Helen. It makes me think of early 20th century Ireland, when they were rediscovering their mythology. Greek mythology was already in vogue so the two origins feel comfortable together.
