What do you think of this name and surname combination?
I am currently writing a short novel for my best friend who is a fan of the tv series called The Vampire Diaries and its spinoff series The Originals. I needed to find a name with Russian-Bulgarian roots for an old vampire. She is very elegant, intelligent, witty and beutiful, so based on that and many other factors i came uo with this name: ANASTASIA (which means resurrection as the character choses that name for her AFTER she is turned into a vampire) PETROVA.
NOTE: the Petrova surname is key for the plot.
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW YOU OPINION AND I AM OPEN TO ANY SUGGESTIONS.

Petrov/ Petrova is like the Russian Jones (super common/ stereotypical), and the combo seems pretty ordinary for a Russian, so it would never stick out like a sore thumb. Is that what you were going for?
Anastasia Petrova sounds beautiful. I am actually quite fond of Petrova and Anastasia both and they flow well together. Does she need a couple of middle names? Frequently, it seems that aristocrats have multiple middle names.
How about:
Anastasia Theresa Gabrielle Petrova
Anastasia Natalia Yesfir Petrova
Anastasia Vitaliya Galena Petrova
Anastasia Dominika Tatiania Petrova

It sounds fine, but I feel like Anastasia is the go-to name for American writers wanting to name a Russian girl.
I agree. I find Anastasia Petrove to be recognizable but strong - and I would have assumed Russian.
I think it is a fine choice, but if the asker is still looking for suggestions, I offer two:
1) Nevena Petrova "Nev" - Nevena means "marigold", which is yellow and may remind the character of the sun that she cannot be out in (I assume, vampire..), or maybe she chooses Nevena because of the marigold's healing properties. Either way, pretty name.
2) Galena Petrova "Gale" - Galena means "calm" and is a Bulgarian name, the spelling Galina is Russian. It just seems like a great name if she has a stoic or calm personality.
