For me, Alfred Wolf is handsome and the hands-down choice. Dad can still use "Alfie" if he likes, so can teachers/classmates/co-workers, etc.

For me, Alfie Wolf just doesn't sound/flow well. If Dad is set on Alfie and not open to Alfred, I would either choose a different middle name with a "wolf" meaning that flows better and still makes "Wolfie" sense, or add another middle name between Alfie and Wolf to improve the flow.
