Due date is this week need help w final decision!!!
We have narrowed it down to three names, but I keep changing my mind. I'm due this week induction date is already set for next week if baby doesn't come soon. We did pick Allie Makenna but I can't seem to get over Makenna Skye. We've even thought about using 2 middle names to fit it all together but not sure if we're just making it too complicated. Which is best?

I prefer Makenna as a first name, because Allie is a little too common. I like Makenna Skye the best, and I would not go with two middle names. Just one is good.

I dislike both Allie as a full name and Makenna, so this is hard for me.Can you be talked into a full name for Allie? I would not want to go through life being Allie as a full name.Alexandra
Alexandria
Alana
Alina
Alessia
Alessandra
Alison
Alicia
Alaia (means 'joy')Makenna as a mn is fine, I just wouldn't want it as my first name either. It is going to be very dated very quickly.Skye is my favourite of the three names. Alaia Skye "Allie" would be my pick. Alaia Makenna works too.Skye Makenna?

Allie won't grow with her at all and I think it's more of a nickname.Makenna is the same too but the a replacing the c makes it sound more mature and it's not a bad name. I'd go Makenna Skye, since Skye flows great with it or if you want to use Allie so much you can do Makenna Allie.

I'd say the first job is to figure out whether you want a daughter named Allie or a daughter named Makenna. Truth be told, very few people will know or remember her middle name, so I think you need to sort out what first name you and your significant other prefer. Both Allie Makenna and Makenna Skye flow well. I'd switch Allie Makenna Skye to Allie Makenna if you were leaning that way.

I like Alice and Alison very much indeed, but just Allie seems rather lightweight; plus, she'll spend her life explaining that, no, it really is her full name. (I've got a Laine niece and a Vickie friend, both of whom have endless trouble - if they do something wrong at work or the boss has to break bad news, they get called Elaine or Victoria and ignore it, because it isn't them, which tends to make things worse!)Makenna is not to my taste at all, but as a mn it would do just fine. So, I'd advise something like Alice Makenna Skye, or Alison Skye Makenna. Both sound very good and give you everything you want. Two mns would be really useful, and in real life they work much better than, for instance, a creative spelling to individualise people.

To be honest, I find Makenna really trendy and I don't feel it will age well. Allie is also quite immature sounding and I would personally prefer it as a nn for a longer name. Skye on the other hand is a name I have always loved, though I prefer the spelling Sky. I think Skye as a fn with a different mn would be nicer. What about Skye Alicia / Alisha or Skye Michaela?

I love Allie but only really as a nickname. Are you completely set on using it as a full name?If you love all three names then I don't see why not put them all together; Allie Makenna Skye flows fairly well too, and I know plenty of people with two middle names, it's not uncommon!

Honestly I don't like any of the names.Allie - very childish, nickname. I can't take Allie seriously by itself. What about Alison "Allie" Alexandra "Allie" Allegra "Allie"Makenna - its just not a girly name to me, its so masculine. Skye is the best by far. (Even though is much nicer on a boy to me).

I really like Allie! (and Skye)my thoughts:
1) you should go with the name that you LOVE in your heart
2) my favorite first name is Allie (to me it sounds like it will age the best)
3) my favorite middle name is Skye
4) if you're not planning in having more babies and you really love all 3, go for the 3-namer (but realize that only #2 might fit on forms)
5) if you are planning on having more babies, Skye is unisex so you have the possibility of using it as a first or middle name in future (Allie/Makenna and Skye sound great together as sibs, too)
good luck! be sure to let us know what you decide on! :)

I like the "Allie Makenna Skye" option best. Plenty of children have two middle names now, anyway.

If I were going to be born next week I'd rather be 1. Skye Makenna 2. Makenna Skye 3. Allie anything.A.M.S. is a nice combo and I think if you're choosing between 2 middles and just one, you could go with both. Skye adds a lot, IMO, to Allie Makenna.

I prefer just Allie Makenna, but if you and your partner love Skye then Allie Makenna Skye definitely works. It flows well and sounds pretty. Plus, two middle names is in vogue right now so it's not to complicated.Good luck and congrats!!!
