Maria is beautiful, classic, and honestly could fit a demure, delicate type or a spunky, sassy type, an outdoorsy type... honestly, it is an every woman sort of name the way Sarah, Elizabeth, and a few other classics are.
Also, there is the song "Maria" from West Side Story, so can you really beat that?
Maria is one of my favorite truly classic names.
