I suppose this was (partly) inspired by me posting the combo Roger Huckleberry Shaw, so I feel compelled to answer...
Honestly, I can't say why I like Huckleberry. I wouldn't say it's my style, exactly. Maybe it's because of Huckleberry Finn. But it's not just that. I like the nickname Huck. The reason I used it in a combo, and why I started thinking about it, was because the last name Huckle has a special meaning to me. Of course that doesn't explain all of it.
I would never use it as a first name, but as a middle name I think it's spunky and kind of cool.
