Unusual real life name
Yesterday I spoke to a man whose name is Kodiak. WDYT? I'm not sure what I think.

nah...reminds me too much of Kodak cameras lol
Oh I do not like it at all. I knew a little boy named Kody and when I learned full his name was Kodiak, I was appalled. I remember when he was born, all his siblings actually voted on what his name would be -- so a couple of teenage girls and two 7 year olds came up with and agreed on Kodiak. I guess it's mildly impressive, haha.
I just feel like the only reason they named their child after a type of bear was because of the dominance of K's, which Americans tend to find attractive. Blech, I just find it trying way too hard.

It sounds like one of those Hollywood hipster names, like Bear, only this time they got more specific. I bet he's been called Kodak a time or two.
I've met one and seen at least two birth announcements for Kodiak's in my city. I can see the appeal more so than some other trendy names, it has a nice enough sound at least. It's still ridiculous.
It's a bear!.... Is it? That's what I thought anyway.
Reminds me of the photography brand Kodak.
COOL.
:)
:)
COOL is about right. Kodiak is bad-ass. Maybe part of my perception comes from the fact that my high school mascot was a Kodiak, so there's the school spirit thing. But I don't know, it's pretty cool. The name sound cool, the animal association is cool, and the fact that he was a man (not a 5 or 10-year-old) makes is way ahead of the trends.
I think it's really cool! I totally love random, wild-er nature names.
Well at least he can go by Kodi\Kody\Cody

I'm glad it's not my name!
Isn't Kodiak an island off the coast of Alaska?
That's probably where his parents got it. Definitely something different!

It's a fun name for a dog. Not so sure about a person.
