Re: Double-Barrelled Names
in reply to a message by lusia
Double barrelled names are not common place here in Australia. There are a few that I love, though I am not a huge fan of double barrelled names. The ones I like are: Molly-Rose
Lily-Rose
Ruby-Mae
Amber-Rose
Mary-Jane
Mary-Kate
Mary-Louisa
Mary-Eliza
Milly-RoseThere would be more, with the same second names as these, like Rose, Mae, Jane, Kate etc. My very favourite and one I would actually use is Molly-Rose. I just adore that name and have since I was a child. DH is not a fan of double barrelled names though. Not a big fan of these names for boys, but I suppose Jean-Pierre, John-David and John-Paul are all alright.Sarah -

I'm a fan of Molly-Rose as well. It wouldn't work with the formal names of my other dds, though, so I'd never use it.

Mae-Jane is too choppy for me, but Cleo-Rose and Chloe-Rose are lovely.
