If Lynn doesn't much like her name, then I would say honour with Linnea (sorry about the lack of accent there, my laptop hates them).
Myself, I'd be annoyed if someone tried to honour me with a name I didn't like. Plus, Linnea is so much more beautiful than Lynn. It's sweet and yellow and faintly shiny.
