Julia is a pretty name and works well. The only reason that I don't think Ivy works well because of two vowel sounds next to each other which makes it sound a bit odd to me.

I don't think Julia and Ivy go together very well. Julia Ivory would be better.

There are a lot of young Julia's around me. Although i can see it as a bit dated, i also see it as quite popular right now anyway. Julia Ivy is a great combo.

I think Julia and Ivy are both lovely (not "dated") and I enjoy the feel of them together. Some are mentioning the flow but I don't think it's a deal breaker if you really love both names, especially when you are hearing them together with your surname.

Julia Ivy is awkward to say and does not flow well at all. I would try to find a one-syllable middle name that begins with a consonant. But Julia is a lovely name and I don't think it's dated.

I think Julia is a lovely classic name, and not dated. It's a good choice!
Julia Ivy is nice, but I think it's possible to do even better.
