Vivian is too masculine for my taste. If I wanted that sound, I would spell it Vivienne or maybe even Vivien.
I adore adore Viviana though. Viviana is my pick, but if you think that may be too much, just use a feminine spelling of Vivian.

Viviana is so much more feminine and not unisex plus it is just really nice on a little girl.

Vivian.
Though - I ACTUALLY considered this name with the Vivien spelling. The 'e' makes the name look so much more mischievous imo.
I think Vivian and Viviana are lovely choices. They are coming into vogue right now, so they are not out of place. They have a lot of energy because they start with the coveted 'V', plus they have cute nickname potential. I think they are nice names.

Viviana is wonderful! The spelling Vivian has never appealed to me. Vivienne is gorgeous, however.

Vivian, which I barely like. I don't like Viviana.

Vivian. Viviana is too frilly.

I don't care for Vivian on a girl, but Viviana seems unnecessarily feminised, if that makes sense. So Vivian would be my pickI visualise Vivian as a slightly harassed middle aged woman, with a sensible haircut and a short temper. Don't know why, that's just what pops into my head.

Viviana, because it's prettier. I do like Vivian, but Viviana has a little more pep in her step, as I like to say.Vivian - I think of Vivian as an older woman, in her forties maybe, who can be friendly, but she can also be very strict, especially when it comes to family. Kinda like Aunt Viv from Fresh Prince. lolViviana - I like this name so much better! Viviana is a blonde in her twenties with sparkling blue eyes and a bubbly personality. But not too bubbly, just the right amount to make people like her. I like the nicknames V (or Vee) and Vivi, like Aussie said.

Hi Stars !!!I much prefer Viviana.
It is fresh and youthful but with the elegance of Latin names.Vivian and Vivien are masculine imo with the style of Dorian, Florian or Julien, Damien. I love all these names.I really like Vivienne since years too! When I see a female Vivian it seems so incomplete and out of place..so no!

I'd choose Viviana, simply because it's more feminine. Vivian - ok, this spelling gives off a unisex or masculine vibe to me though. I prefer Vivienne for a girl.
Viviana - feminine, has the same sort of vibe as Liliana and other -ana names. Refreshing, beautiful and full of life. I like the nicknames Vivi, Vee or Ana.

Vivian for a son; Viviana is too frilly for my taste. Vivien for a daughter would be rather nice, and would be very nice indeed if she could come with a guarantee that she'd never be called Viv.
