ji-NEH-vraGinevra = "ji-NEH-vra"It's an Italian name. If they wanted a pronunciation like "gin-EE-vra" they would have spelled it Ginivra. I've always loved this name. It has such a gorgeous sound. I must send a thank you note to the author of HP, she keeps popularizing such beautiful classics. :-)

I say jin-NEV-vra.EDIT: Belatedly realised "g" does not equal "j" in pronunciation keys. I hadn't had my Barq's when I first wrote this post...

I'd say ji-NEV-ra. It's lovely, though I dislike Guinevere.

I think its Jeh nev ra
Its a very pretty name a bit Harry Potterish but as the character goes by her nickname of Ginny I would say its still usable without being to closely assosiated with the books
