Wesley
What are your thoughts on Wesley? It doesn't fit my usual style, but I adore the nn Wes. Do you prefer Weston or another Wes- name? Any strong feelings about it?

I know it's not a common association, but it's a religious (Methodist) name to me. Otherwise, it's not my style but it's a fine name. I like the nn Wes more than the longer forms.

I don't mind it, it's certainly not a bad name. Wes is a cute nn. I don't like Weston though. I met a Wesley once and thought it was unusual at the time, because he was the first and only person I've ever met with that name.

i love it, though it isn't my usual style either. i agree w/ queenv that it's a friendly sounding name.i like how the -ley ending is really common nowadays, but the initial sound makes the whole thing stand out.

Wesley is okay. It's a "safe" name -- it won't cause any problems, but it's a bit on the boring side IMO. Wes is a good nickname.I like Wesley much better than Weston. Wesley is timeless while Weston seems very trendy / soon to be dated to me.

I like Wes, and if I wanted to call my kid that, I'd probably use it as a full name. If I absolutely had to pick something longer, I think I'd go with Westward.Wesley sounds kind of wimpy to me, probably because I've only met one (as a kid), and he was whiny; also I tend not to like lee/leigh/ley endings. I prefer Weston to Wesley and don't have any strong feelings about it, but it's not my style either.
