I like Una best because it’s simple and sweet. Oona is okay too, although I don’t love the double O for reasons I can’t explain. I guess because it makes it look like an exclamation, like “boo!” Or “ooga-booga!” Yeah, I know it’s weird.Oonagh reminds me of the word “queue”. So many letters to convey such a simple sound! I usually like traditions and vestigial reasons for spellings, but it’s an awful lot to take in in this case.

I like them all. I’m sorry so many people here don’t give traditional Irish names/spellings a chance. The musician Alela Diane has the sweetest redhead girl named Oona. Suits her beautifully.Using Oonagh, but all spellings for all combos possible and pleasant.Oonagh Tamsin
Oonagh Frances
Oonagh Niamh
Oonagh Rachel
Oonagh Rosemary
Oonagh Brigid
Oonagh Margaret
Oonagh Cathleen or Caitlin or Catherine
Oonagh Violet
Oonagh Liadain
Oonagh Damaris
Oonagh Maeve
Oonagh Josephine(Edit: I am just considering the double meaning for Oonagh Rachel. Either cool to have the language play of sorts, or distasteful to have two sheep-related names... honestly I think it’s kind of sweet and I’d probably occasionally call the kid lamb, as well as hoping they’d have an interest in languages.)

I like all of them. Una is the most manageable but I like Oona the most in general.

I have a soft spot for Oona, though I wouldn't say I particularly like it. Una is 100% a Spanish word to me and Oonagh looks horrifically ugly, like it should be pronounced OO-nag.

I’m not really into any of them, but I would choose Una. It just looks the most simple. Oonagh looks like a caveman name, no offense.

That's why I like Oonagh. It looks very different, almost otherworldly.

I think I like Oonagh best, but I also like Oona.

If I had to like one, I'd choose Una, though I don't like it much.
Oonagh doesn't seem like a name at all, though of course I realize it is.

I love Oona. I love the double o, it's cute and whimsical and alien-sounding. It looks pretty alien too with the double o.

Honestly, I think they are all just awful. If I were to pick a least objectionable spelling, it would be Una, and the most objectionable, Oonagh.

Out of these three I'd say Oona. Una is silly to me as it is like naming a child "The". Oonagh looks to me like someone trying to say Oona and then falling down OONAAAaaagh! Can't say I like the name.

I far prefer Una and expect it to sound like Youna. Oonagh and especially Oona look unEnglish, which they are, but since I don't share their heritage or vicinity, I'll stay with the Faerie Queene.

I love it. Oonagh is my preference

I've met a girl named Oona. The name works and has what I think is the desired effect ... it sounds cool and unusual but not stupid? haha. I prefer the Oona spelling. Una is a Spanish article and that distracts me; Oonagh looks like bleaugh and stuff like that to me, it doesn't need the gh to make it real. Not a fan of the meaning but, whatever, I don't even care about that.Oona Godiva
Oona Shannon
Oona Vivian
