Definitely Willa Dare. I don't like the repeated D sound in Heidi Dare, and Willa is much prettier than Heidi anyway. I actually love the name Willa and the flow of Willa Dare.

Neither really goes well with your surname, tbh. Both sound like phrases and both seem a little insubstantial. Heidi got a bit of a “bimbo” vibe in the 90s, and Willa makes me think of the phrase “it gives me the willies”. I LOVE your idea of Louisa.

I like both, but I'm not sure they go well with your surname. Willa is lovely but it does sound a lot like 'iwll I dare' and Heidi Dare is a bit stuttery. What about Wilhelmina/ Willamina or Adelheid as a full name, to be known as Willa or Heidi for short?

Willa.Heidi Dare sounds a little stuttery with the D-D sound.

oops, try again ...Sorry, I hadn't seen that Dare was your last name. I apologize.I do like Heidi, but it sounds very silly with Dare. I don't like Willa, but it does sound marginally better.

Is Dare a middle name or surname?

Out of the two Willa Dare has a better sound, but in all honesty, I don't think either flows very well. Willow Dare works much better.

Thanks everyone for your input! Love the feedback. I am kind of feeling Willa and my husband is more into Heidi. I feel like we need a Switzerland! Also thinking three syllable names sound good with Dare as well. Here are a few other thoughts:Sophia/Sofia - is it too popular?
Louisa
Emilia (I like Mila for short)Any preferences or other recs?! Ideally we’d like to find something classic but not overused. Also don’t want anything too “new age”Thanks again!!

Louisa DareI really like the sound and look of Louisa Dare!
Sophia - it is still super popular where I live
Emilia - nice

Louisa Dare sounds great! The flow is really good and Louisa will age really well too. Lulu or Lou are great nn options as well.

I can't say that I'm all that wild about how Heidi or Willa go with your surname (which is very cool, btw). I do like Sophia / Sofia with it, however, as you mentioned, it's incredibly popular. Louisa Dare sounds great, imo. And while I tend to shy away from the very popular Em names, she'd go by Mila which sounds pretty decent with the surname.Have you picked out a mn yet?

Sophia/Sofia is terribly popular in many countries. Louisa is okay, but not really my thing. Emilia is what I'd go with from all the names you've listed. I like Mila. I'd even consider Mila Dare as a full name. Will she have middle name(s) as well?

Heidi Louisa dare
Louisa Heidi dareBoth sound good to me

Oh good idea.
I like Emilia Dare or Mila.Sophia is great but yes it's very popular - like Emily if you count both spellings Sofia/Sophia. Not as overused as Jessica or Ashley were.
I'm late to the party but for what it's worth, I don't like Willa Dare because it sounds like "Will I dare?" so between Willa and Heidi, Heidi gets my vote. The "hi there" is too subtle to bother me.

WillaHi !!!I love both names!
But Willa flows well with the surname.

I prefer Willa, and I think it flows better with Dare.

I'd go with Willa, but it's a very close one. Heidi is a bit immature to me, but Willa isn't as pretty a name as Heidi.

I prefer Heidi.

I think Willa Dare flows much better.

Willa Dare (Dare was my grandmother's name, btw). Heidi Dare sounds like "Hidee D'ere!" as in Hello there!
vote up1
I was actually thinking Willa Dare sounds like a phrase...'will ya dare' or 'will and dare'...

Of the two, I prefer Willa Dare. Heidi is too closely associated with a single literary character. Willamina Dare also sounds nice.
