I love Zahrah, but it has nothing to do with Sarah, nor is it pronounced the same sort of way. My DH, who speaks Arabic, says it's pronounced more like zuh-huh-rah. The emphasis is on the first and last part of the name and the r is rolled. Beautiful name.Sarah -

Yes, I know, that's why I wrote it would be a great alternative to overused Sarah ;) Maybe I didn't explain it well, sorry. But thank you for explaining the pronunciation! I had actually expected it to be ZAH-ra. It is a really nice name and I prefer its meaning over that of Sarah's (even though it is nice too).
