Rise
Actress Jacqueline MacInnes Wood named her son Rise Harlen. What do you think of Rise, as a name? **Starfish and coffee, maple syrup and jam/Butterscotch clouds, a tangerine, and a side order of ham**

Well, Rise (REE-seh) is in the submitted section as a Japanese name that can mean "beautiful star", so just pretend it's that. :)But all of that aside, maybe his sibs will be named Shine, Awaken, Getup, and Up & Adam (twins)...

It looks bad and reminds me of trouser measurements, but I think I'd get used to it in real life.
Except for it sounding like a command. But, we forget these things, don't we? Mark, Bob, Bill, Carrie ...I would think it was pretty funny if he happened to marry a woman named Rose.

Harlen Rise has a better flow. Rise Harlen sounds like a command for a dog. Rise is okay. Don’t love it. Sounds like the mother is trying too hard to make some social statement.

Makes me think of what the Manson Family wrote in blood on the wall of the LaBianca home. What was it they wrote? "Rise." So it further makes me think of far right or far left fringe groups, perhaps murderous. Not a fan.

I don't think verbs make very good names

Attention!
Present arms!
About-face!
