Isobel would be my choice. Less common than Isabel, and I have an Isobel friend who is known as Iso, which is fun and somehow nicer than Isa. Isabelle is fine if you're French, but if you aren't, then it's just over-ornate.

Isobel, but...mostly because it was my grandmother's middle name (she changed it to her maiden name when she got married) and the spelling reflects our family's Scottish heritage. I also like a surprise O in spellings sometimes. ;) But if I didn't have the former association my favorite would probably be Isabel. I also tend to like "bel/belle/bell" names with the less popular -bell ending. Not always, but Isabell looks pretty to me! I often find that -elle looks too frilly for my tastes, but -el can look a tad unfinished depending on the name.

IsabelleThe other two spellings aren't used where I live.

IsabelIsabelle is nice, but a bit too frilly. Isobel looks like a typo.

IsabelleIsabelle all the way.Isabel is fine but I much prefer Isabelle. And the ‘o’ in Isobel honestly just turns me off.

IsabelI used to prefer Isobel, but nowadays I think Isabel is the more practical of the two (particularly in the U.S.). However, I prefer both to Isabelle, which I think looks just a little bit to princess-y.

Isabel, most elegant and refined, love it. It's so symmetrical and pretty.Isobel ... could be cool? But it's too ... different. Like it seems like the O should make a different sound, and it doesn't (in my accent). So it seems affected, and that affectedness makes it seem clunky where it ought to be self-contained and sort of strong (like Isabel IMO).Isolde scratches the itch Isobel reaches for.Isabelle is very pretty too, but it leans into the aspects of the name that I don't like as much. Isabel just owns
