I'd guess Ash-a, because of popular names like Ashley, Ashton, Asher.
But I'd have a nagging feeling that AH-sha is more correct.
I've never met an Asha.
I somewhat associate it (in addition to the names mentioned above) with Asherah and Aisha, both of which seem like they have more character to me.
It's also like Maya. Simple, complex/multicultural, popular sounding.
I don't think it's legit to say it means "ash tree", but one could say that. Like, Eartha is obviously connected to "earth" but not in a way that's "legit".

I really like Asherah and probably prefer it as a name on its own, but Asha seems "safer" for naming a real baby because it's so short and easy to spell.
I like:
Asha Sunita
Asha Vivienne (or a simpler one like Vivian or Vivien)
Asha Rowena **

Asha Willow **
Asha Larkin -- I almost deleted this but I kind of like it, it almost has Robin Hood or Disneyish vibes (like someone running through through the woods shooting arrows with an animal sidekick)
