I don't think so - I've heard lots of people refer to her as "
Ann" Rand. Like, on the radio. Sounding confident about it.
I happened to know that it was "I'n" Rand, because my dad had one of her books and I saw the name and asked him how to say it. If not for that, I would have assumed all the people saying "
Ann" were right.
Even though it doesn't make sense phonetically. Sometimes names don't make sense phonetically in English.
