Summer
What are your thoughts and opinions on the name Summer? Is it too popular? Is the name Winter becoming the new Summer? What would you think/feel if your name was Summer or if you knew someone with this name?https://www.behindthename.com/pnl/227825

Neither one happens where I live, and that's fine by me. At least Winter shortens comfortably to Winnie! A woman named or called Summer Louise used to write a needlepoint blog that was pretty interesting, and I tried to like Summer because of her, but it didn't really work.

I’ve always found it to be super pretty and not too popular here in Australia, though certainly not unheard of either. I think Winter is definitely getting more use, not sure how popular it will become though. I know someone who has a 5 year old daughter named Summer. It suits her perfectly, she’s such a happy, smiley girl, whose fave colour is yellow, has bright blonde hair and big blue eyes!

I like Summer and Autumn as names. Winter is definitely trendy.

Beautiful. I knew a Summer before. It’s much better than Winter, IMO. Like June, it gives me a lot of nice vibes.

It's ok, I suppose. I agree, it is becoming dated.

Summer is my roommate's cat, so I wouldn't use it unless for a character. Very pretty, though!

I prefer Summer over Winter. I didn’t use to like Winter, but recently I’ve started warming up to it (pun intended).I do love the nickname Winnie for Winter.

Summer is a beautiful name, but I can't see myself using it.

I like the name Summer. I also like Winter but not as much. If I were to have the name, I might feel like I'd have to live up to an expectation that I might not be able to achieve (having depression). I DO know somebody with this name and it's just a normal name to me.

I know a girl named Summer. I don't really like it because it's the name of a season, but it sounds very pretty. I would hate my name to be Summer because some people would assume I'm a girl.
