Sophia Taylor (With a nickname...)
I’m looking at this fictional character and I see that her name is Sophia, simply chosen because the parent liked it. Taylor being the Mother’s maiden name. But what I find the most interesting, is that she goes by the nickname “Saphie” pronounced like SAH-FEE. She also has the indirect nickname Tails for Taylor. What do you think of Sophia Taylor? What are the thoughts on Saphie and Tails?_______________________________________________________

I can see Saphie: no doubt they pronounce Sophia more like sahFIEa than sohFIEah. Wouldn't go that route myself, though.I know a Sophia, also chosen because her parents liked it. She is a redhead, and her nn (in the family, at least) is Fia, pronounced like Fire.Tails would work as a nn for Taylor; quite a cute idea.

Saphie is not the first nn I think of for Sophia as the girl I knew was known as Soapy but Saphie is not a bad nn for Sophia. Tails seems like a good nn Taylor.
