Strange, but at least it's not twins both named Elizabeth Jane each after a different grandmother, although I suppose they could just call them different NNs in that scenario...
It's quirky but who would care really. They're very ordinary on the surface.

Actually having read the reasoning behind it I think it's hilarious. What are the chances! And while it will probably be mildly inconvenient for the children at some point, I think it might be worth it. Their first names are perfectly ordinary and it's not like middle names matter all that much. I sometimes process forms and documents for work and if I saw these names I would probably write or call them back saying they should correct the form but if I was told that it's not an error and it's their actual name, I'd just be like wow that's crazy and process them normally. At the end of the day I think it's extremely funny and ultimately pretty harmless.
Wow, why
Evidently, it's because "I can." and to honor both Mom parents (Elizabeth Jane & Matthew Francis) and Dad's parents (also Elizabeth Jane & Matthew Francis).
Oh that’s funny actually
It's like they wanted to absolutely make sure of the names, Matthew Francis and Elizabeth Jane, but somewhere along the way something got lost in translation. LOL! Still, that's absolutely wild. I can't imagine the second half of their names being of much sensible use.

You would think one set of those names would honor both sets of grandparents, but definitely interesting that they share the same names.
Using the kids full names must be...interesting. LOL!

I mean both my friend and I agree that he (the cousin) could've just used the names once, i.e. Elizabeth Jane and Matthew Francis and be okay but whatever.
Elizabeth Jane Elizabeth Jane is a newborn as far as ages go.
From what my friend says, the parents don't understand why people are so upset over the repeated names.

That's crazy, why they don't understand
My friend says his cousin is highly entitled and his wife is just sort of checked out of reality and encourages the ego. But again, I'm getting this second hand. They're a highly religious Italian Catholic family and my friend says the entire family tried to talk them out of it.
Wow, that's an unfortunate situation, especially for the kids. 😕
Yeah, my friend is hoping that once the kids come of age, they'll change their names. lol.
I am really curious about the reasoning behind that. It makes no sense.
