Not a fan, it’s very cutesy, slightly ridiculous on anyone over 10.

Sickly sweet.

It's too cutesy for my taste, but would serve well as a childhood nickname or legal name of someone who happens to love flowers/nature.

I like it! I’d prefer it as a nickname, though, maybe for Polissena.

Just to be different, it always reminds me of the Dirty Dozen, one of the characters was called Posey.

It's so excessively and deliberately twee that it mocks itself, and seems suited to a loud and bit... I mean, forceful persona.
Kind of like Lolly and Dolly and Missy and Sissy and Fancy and Buffy.
Which is fun, in a way, but I think it makes a better pseud or character name, than a real name.

One of the worst names ever.

Sorry, I've always found this name to sound exceedingly childish / juvenile. Probably because of the rhyme: Ring around the rosy / Pocket full of posies...

It's just so so so cutesy. I can't imagine someone past toddler age with this name. It's very Juvenile and doesn't age well. I do think you would make a cute name for a pet though. One of my neighbors had a cow named Posy when I was a little girl.

I love it. It’s a cute nickname for Mariposa too.

I only like Posy as a nickname for Josephine or Primrose. It's adorable for a baby and a young girl but I think it sounds too cute and twee as a first name for a grown woman. Many parents forget that we spend most of our lives as adults so instead of thinking "we're naming a baby" they should be thinking "we're naming a mature human being". A name has to stand the test of time and be appropriate for all ages.Posy makes me think of flowers and springtime. It has a friendly, cheerful and optimistic vibe.

Very cute, I like it as a nickname for Primrose.

I think it’s fun and different as a nn for Josephine, Primrose, Rose or any flower name really. I wouldn’t hate it as a first name but it would certainly take the right person to wear it gracefully.

I like the way this name sounds, but now it unfortunately makes me think of that Posie Parker person (which is a real shame since I love actress Parker Posey).

I don't like this name at all, but I think it'd be nice on a character!

It's nauseatingly cute. It would be most appropriate on a rich old lady's hideous, yapping, fluffy dog that she carries in her purse.

I know about the little bunches of flowers and the rhyme with Rosie, but all I can think about is posing, pretending to be something you aren't.

Don't like it at all, sounds too cutesy

I love this name and just see it as another botanical beauty. So pretty and despite what others think or say, I think it ages just fine.
